Seven years hence = 5:6
Calculation:
Ages ratio of A and B seven years ago = 4x: 5x
According to the question,
⇒(4x+14)/(5x+14) = 5/6
=6(4x+14) = 5(5x+14)
⇒24x + 84 = 25x + 70
=>25x-24x= 84-70
⇒x=14
Seven years ago age of A = 4 x 14 = 56
5 years after the age of A= 56+12= 68
Seven years ago age of B = 5 x 14 = 70
5years hence age of B = 70+12=82
Ratio of ages of A to that of B = 68:82 = 34:41
