Which number will replace the question mark (?) in the following series?
5, 9, 18, 43, 92, 213, 382, ?
328
382
316
671
In the series a pattern is being followed:
5, 9, 18, 43, 92, 213, 382
5+4=9 (Now here 4 is the square of 2)
9+9=18 (9 is the sqaure of 3)
18+25=43 (25 is the square of 5)
43+49=92 (49 is the sqaure of 7)
92+121=213 (121 is the square of 11)
213+169=382 (169 is the sqaure of 13)
Now, 2,3,5,7,11 and 13 are prime numbers so we will keep adding the squares of prime numbers to complete the series.
382+289=671 (289 is the sqaure of 17)
