The first auditor of a Govt. company shall be appointed by the CAG of India within 60 days of registration of the company. If CAG does not appoint such auditor within the said period, the BOD of the company shall appoint such auditor within next 30 days. In case of failure of BOD to appoint, the BOD shall inform the members of the company, who shall appoint such auditor within 60 days at EGM, who shall hold office till the conclusion of first AGM.
