Multiple costing also called composite costing. It represents application of more than one method of costing in respect of the same product. This is suitable for industries where a number of components parts are separately produced and subsequently assembled into a final product. In such industries each component differs from others as to price, material used and manufacturing process. So, this method of costing will be applicable in which process costing, job costing etc. will be applied on different parts. Example: Radio, TV, Typewriter, engines, airplane, etc.
