Direction: In the following question two equations are given in variables x and y. You have to solve these equations and determine the relation between x and y.

I. 6x² + 13x + 6 = 0

II. 15y² + 13y + 2 = 0

I. 6x² + 13x + 6 = 0

⇒ 6x² + 9x + 4x + 6 = 0

⇒ 3x(2x + 3) + 2(2x + 3) = 0

⇒ (3x + 2)(2x + 3) = 0

⇒ x = -2/3,-3/2

II. 15y² + 13y + 2 = 0

⇒ 15y² + 10y + 3y + 2 = 0

⇒ 5y(3y + 2) +1(3y + 2) = 0

⇒ (3y + 2)(5y + 1) = 0

⇒ y =-2/3,-1/5
