Second Edition of Khelo India Winter Games Concludes as J&K Tops Medal Tally
  • The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has topped the medals tally in the second edition of Khelo India Winter National Games.
  • The five-day mega sports event was held from February 26 to March 02, 2021, at the famous ski resort of Gulmarg in the Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
  • J&K won 11 gold, 18 silver and 5 bronze medals. It was followed by Karnataka [5 Gold and 4 Bronze] and Maharashtra [ 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals].
  • The event was organised by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council and the Winter Games Association of Jammu and Kashmir. 
  • More than 1,000 athletes from 27 states and union territories took part.
