Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, launched the "Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan," a 15-day nationwide campaign aimed at modernizing Indian agriculture by promoting scientific farming among over 1.3 crore farmers. The campaign focuses on enhancing productivity and sustainability ahead of the Kharif season.

Key Points:

1. Campaign Overview:
   The campaign runs from May 29 to June 12, 2025, targeting farmers across 723 districts to spread awareness of modern agricultural practices before sowing seasons.

2. Objectives:
   It aims to boost productivity, reduce costs, promote crop diversification, ensure fair pricing, and encourage organic and natural farming techniques.

3. Implementation Strategy:
   Over 2,300 teams comprising agricultural experts will visit around 65,000 villages to train farmers, share knowledge, and promote government schemes and technologies.

4. Minister's Call to Action:
   Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged all stakeholders to actively participate, emphasizing that successful farmer engagement is vital for achieving a developed India through advanced agriculture.
