The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G) has launched India’s largest Drone Pilot Training Organization, aligned with PM’s Namo Drone Didi initiative.
Spanning across an expansive 18-acre area, this facility boasts the remarkable ability to operate nine medium-class drones simultaneously, thus earning the distinction of being India’s largest Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO).
A release from IITG said on completion of the course, students will be awarded a Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) sanctioned by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), allowing them to embark on a career as certified drone pilots.
