On giving a discount of 25% on the MRP of an article, the trader earns a profit of 20%. If the difference between the MRP & CP of the article is 180 Rs. What is the MRP of the article? (in Rs)

Direct ratio between MP & CP=
(100+P%) : (100- D%)
= 120 : 75 = 8 : 5
So MP= 8x & CP= 5x
ATQ, 8x-5x= 180
x =180/3 = 60
MP= 8× 60= 480 Rs.
