Ajmer, Rajasthan municipal corporation changed the name of Foy Sagar Lake to Varun Sagar, a day after renaming King Edward Memorial to Maharishi Dayanand Memorial Vishranti Grah.

• On Nov 19, the name of RTDC's Hotel Khadim was changed to Hotel Ajaymeru.
• Assembly Speaker and MLA from Ajmer North, Vasudev Devnani, said more suggestions are coming to him to change names of other monuments and an elevated bridge in Ajmer.
• Foy Sagar lake was built in 1892 under a famine relief project by an English engineer named Foy. Until 1995, before the Bisalpur Dam was constructed, Ajmer city received its drinking water from this lake.
