Every year, Ayushman Bharat Diwas is celebrated in India on 30 April. Ayushman Bharat Diwas is celebrated to achieve two goals. They are to promote the health and welfare of the poor and provide insurance benefits to them.

• The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in April, 2018.
• According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Ayushman Bharat Scheme has launched 75,532 Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centers so far. It has set a target of setting up 5 lakh health and wellness centers by 2022.
• Beneficiaries will be selected from the Socio-Economic Census database.
• It is the largest health cover in the world.
• It aims to provide a health cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year.
