T Rabi Sankar appointed fourth Deputy Governor of RBI

Tavarna Rabi Sankar, the Executive Director at Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has been named as the fourth Deputy Governor of the central bank.
Sankar has been appointed for a period of three years.
He succeeds B P Kanungo, who retired on April 02, 2021.
The other three RBI deputy governors at RBI are Michael Patra, Mahesh Kumar Jain, and M. Rajeshwar Rao.
