Indian Economy - Understanding the basics of Indian economic system

A Man is 26 years older than his son. After 3 years, his age will be 3 times of his son. Find the present age of father.

Let the age of man and son is x & y

respectively

x- y = 26 ……(i)

and x+3 = 3(y+3)

x + 3 = 3y+9

x = 3y+6 ……(ii)

from equation (i) and (ii)

2y = 20

Y = 10

x = 36 years
