Indian Railway launched its first ever train that runs on CNG in 2015. What does CNG stand for?

The first CNG train was launched from Rewary on 14 January 2015 by railway minister Suresh Prabhu. The train is Based on the dual fuel system - diesel and CNG. It was launched from Rewari-Rohtak section of Northern zone. Compressed natural gas (CNG) is a fuel which can be used in place of gasoline, diesel fuel and propane/LPG. CNG combustion produces fewer undesirable gases than the aforementioned fuels.
