John Newlands
* Dmitri Mendeleev was the first scientist to prepare periodic table for chemical elements. * Dmitri Mendeleev is often referred to as the Father of the Periodic Table. He called his table or matrix, "the Periodic System". * Mendeleev's table did not include any of the noble gases, which were discovered later. These were added by Sir William Ramsay as Group 0. * Mendeleev organized elements in order of increasing atomic mass, in 1914 Henry Moseley gained further efficiency and organised the table by Atomic number rather than Atomic weight.
