(NMCG) established Namami Gange Amrit Vatika at Kalindi Kunj Ghat on the River Yamuna

National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has created Namami Gange Amrit Vatika at Kalindi Kunj Ghat on River Yamuna in New Delhi with the planting of 75 saplings under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

  • The plantation activities were carried out under the initiative Yamuna Ghat par Vriksharopan.
  • Speaking on the occasion, Director General of NMCG, G. Asok Kumar said that cleaning of tributaries of River Ganga, especially, Yamuna, is one of the focus areas of the Namami Gange Programme.
  • He motivated the participants to become part of this Clean Yamuna campaign. Cleanliness drive on River Yamuna in Delhi is a regular activity organized on the 4th Saturday of every month by the National Mission for Clean Ganga.
