Odisha launches Unified Health Insurance Scheme

The Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda, launched a unified health insurance scheme of the Odisha government in Cuttack, Odisha, on 11 April 2025. This comprehensive initiative integrates the central Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) with the state’s Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY), aiming to benefit over 1 crore families in Odisha with robust health coverage.
