Tristan Stubbs became the 11th batter to score a first-class triple-century in South Africa, and the eighth since readmission in what will be seen as a major boost for the Test team.

• Stubbs is now the leading run-scorer in Division 11 of the domestic four-day competition, with two centuries from five matches.
• Stubbs made his Test debut in the New Year's Test against India last month.
• Like most of the first-choice Test players, Stubbs was contractually obliged to play in the SA20 instead of the Test series in New Zealand and had a successful tournament.
• He was the leading run-scorer for Sunrisers Eastern Cape, who won the title for the second time, with 301 runs, including three half-centuries, and a strike rate of 168.15.
