Hillary Clinton meets salt pan workers, announces $50 million Climate Resilience Fund

Former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat met the women of salt pan on February 06 and announced funds of 50 million dollars for climate change.

  • Hillary Clinton also interacted with the women salt pan workers. Roughly 70 per cent of the total production of salt in the country comes from the salt pans of Gujarat, majorly spread across Little Rann of Kutch in Surendranagar district.
