India’s Annu Rani secured the gold medal in the women’s javelin throw at the 8th International Wieslaw Maniak Memorial in Szczecin, Poland, on August 6, 2025.
She achieved a season-best throw of 62.59 m on her second attempt—her first throw beyond 60 m in over a year. Two of her other throws, measuring 60.96 m and 60.07 m, also crossed the 60 m mark. This performance places her back among the world’s top 15 women javelin throwers and strengthens her bid for qualification at the 2025 World Athletics Championships.
