Sadaq - There was a form of marriage called Beena marriage in which husband used to visit his wife but he did not bring her to her matrimonial home, in which the wife was called Sadiqa (female friend) and the gift which was given to the wife was called Sadaq. In Islam Sadaq simply means dower and it is synonymous with Mahr.
