Section 38(1) of the Specific Relief Act, 1963 makes a general declaration that the plaintiff can obtain a perpetual injunction, that is, a permanent injunction against a defendant to prevent him from the violation of any obligation that the defendant has towards the plaintiff. 

This obligation is in regards to any legal duty that the defendant has towards the plaintiff, corresponding to any, express or implied, legal right that the plaintiff has against the defendant.
