Explanation:

Acceptance is valid only when it is communicated to the other offerer. A mere silence or mere ' mental acceptance not supported by words or conduct is no acceptance. Communication of acceptance is complete even if the letter of acceptance is lost in transit or delayed after posting but not when it is not posted. In such cases, the offerer is bound by the acceptance because the accepter has done all that is required on his part to accept.
