PM Modi Launches Ambitious Amrit Bharat Station Scheme for Redevelopment of 508 Railway Stations Across India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the ambitious "Amrit Bharat Station Scheme."

Under this scheme 508 railway stations spread across 27 states and union territories will be redeveloped, catering to the needs of millions of passengers daily.
The redevelopment plan encompasses a diverse range of railway stations, including 55 in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan each, 49 in Bihar, 44 in Maharashtra, 37 in West Bengal, 34 in Madhya Pradesh, 32 in Assam, 25 in Odisha, 22 in Punjab, and 21 each in Gujarat and Telangana.
Additionally, 20 stations in Jharkhand, and 18 each in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, showcase the scope and scale of this monumental undertaking.
Haryana and Karnataka will witness the redevelopment of 15 and 13 railway stations, respectively.
