Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inauguraed the second edition of the one-day programme “Panchayat Se Parliament” at the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan, New Delhi.

• It is aimed at empowering elected women representatives from Scheduled Tribes from Panchayati Raj institutions and enhancing their knowledge of constitutional provisions, parliamentary procedures, and governance to foster effective leadership.
• The programme seeks to give insight into the Constitution and parliamentary procedures to over 500 women representatives from Panchayati Raj institutions from across the country.
• The programme is being organised in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and will include workshops, sessions, and a guided tour of key locations such as the new Parliament House, Samvidhan Sadan, Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, and Rashtrapati Bhawan.
