• He achieved the feat in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024 where India began their journey against Ireland on June 5, 2024.
• The 37-year-old right-handed batter is the only active member of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup-winning squad.
• Rohit, who made his international debut for India in an ODI against Ireland in June 2007, has hit 193 sixes in 151 T20Is, the highest of any player.
• If he hits seven sixes in the T20 World Cup 2024, he will be the first batsman to reach a double century in the game’s shortest format. Aside from T20Is, Rohit has struck 84 sixes in 59 tests and 323 maximums in 262 ODIs for India.
