Former Mumbai captain and selector Milind Rege died at the age of 76 on Wednesday, February 19. Rege, a highly-respected figure on the domestic circuit, died after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday(19 February 2025), just days after his 76th birthday.
- Rege was admitted to the intensive care unit at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai and passed away around 6 am on Wednesday morning.
- He is survived by his wife and 2 sons.
- Rege played 52 First-Class matches between 1966-67 and 1977-78, and took 126 wickets as a right-arm off-break bowler. He also contributed with the bat, scoring 1,532 runs at an average of 23.56.
