The Global Biofuel Alliance (GBA) is an initiative by India as the G20 Chair. The Alliance intends to expedite the global uptake of biofuels through facilitating technology advancements, intensifying utilization of sustainable biofuels, shaping robust standard setting and certifcation through the participation of a wide spectrum of stakeholders. GBA will help to accelerate India’s existing biofuels programs such as
1) GOBARdhan Scheme
2) PM-JIVAN Yojana
3) SATAT Yojana
4) KUSUM Scheme
1 and 2 Only
2 and 3 Only
1, 2 and 3 Only
1 Only
All of the above
The correct option is: 1, 2, and 3 Only
- GOBARdhan Scheme: This initiative aims to manage and convert cattle dung and solid waste into compost, biogas, and bio-CNG, aligning with the global biofuel push to utilize sustainable energy resources.
- PM-JIVAN Yojana: Aims at setting up bioethanol projects using lignocellulosic biomass and other renewable feedstock, supporting the objective of increasing biofuel use.
- SATAT Yojana: Introduced to establish compressed biogas production plants and make them commercially viable, thus fostering the biofuel sector.
- KUSUM Scheme: Primarily focuses on solar energy for agriculture and does not directly contribute to biofuel promotion.
- Options: The scheme directly aligned with biofuel acceleration excludes the KUSUM scheme, thus making option "1, 2, and 3 Only" correct, reflecting GBA's objectives.
