Directions: Study the information carefully and answer the questions given below.
Eight persons Anil, Dolly, Bina, Girish, Chetan, Esha, Falak and Hitesh are sitting around a square table but not necessarily in the same order. Four persons sit at the corner side of the table while other four sit at the middle side of the table. The persons who sit at the corner face inside while others face outside. They also have different ages i.e. 15 years, 17 years, 13 years, 18 years, 24 years, 22 years, 23 years and 28 years but not necessarily in the same order. Falak sits second to the left of Anil and second to the right of the person whose age is 23 years. Dolly sits third to the left of the person whose age is 13 years and faces outside. Neither Falak nor the persons whose age is 23 years is an immediate neighbour of Chetan. Bina sits immediate to the left of Falak and his age is 24 years who sits opposite to the one whose age is 22 years. Esha sits second to the left of the person whose age is 5 years less than the age of Chetan’s age. Chetan’s age is an even number and Esha sits at the corner side of the table. Hitesh is five years elder to Girish. Age of Girish is 25 years less than the total age of Anil and Esha.
Who among the following sits fourth to the right of Anil?
Hitesh
Esha
Girish
Bina
Falak
Let’s break this logic puzzle down, clue by clue:
- Eight people around a square table. Corners face inside; middles face outside.
- Falak sits second to the left of Anil, and second to the right of the person aged 23.
- Dolly is third to the left of the 13-year-old and faces outside.
- Falak and the 23-year-old aren’t Chetan’s immediate neighbors.
- Bina sits immediate left of Falak, is 24, and sits opposite the 22-year-old.
- Esha sits second to the left of the person whose age is 5 less than Chetan’s, Esha is at a corner.
- Chetan’s age is even.
- Hitesh is 5 years older than Girish.
- Girish’s age is 25 less than the combined age of Anil and Esha.
Now, about the main question: “Who sits fourth to the right of Anil?”
Here’s the part that matters:
- Falak sits second left of Anil, so if Anil is at a corner, Falak is on a middle side.
- Placing everyone else with the info above, if you move four seats clockwise from Anil, you land on Bina.
So, out of the options:
- Hitesh? Nope.
- Esha? Nope.
- Girish? Not it.
- Bina? That’s your person.
- Falak? Nope.
The correct answer is: Option 4, Bina.
Hope this clears up where the logic leads – sometimes that fourth seat can trip you up!
