In a row of girls, Ramya is fifth from the left and Priya is sixth from the right. When they exchange their positions, then Ramya becomes thirteenth from the left. What will be Priya’s position from the right?
7th
9th
12th
14th
Ans: D. Sol. Ramya’s new position is 13th from left. But it is the same as Priya’s earlier position which is 6th from the right. Thus, the row consists of ( 12 + 1 + 5 ) = 18 girls. Now, Priya’s new position is Ramya’s earlier position which is 5th from the left. Number of girls to the right of Priya = (18 - 5) = 13. So, Priya’s new position is 14th from the right.
