Sanjay Joshi, a seasoned insurance professional and current General Manager at United India Insurance, has been appointed as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL), following a recommendation by the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB).

Key Highlights:

• Sanjay Joshi will take over as CMD of Oriental Insurance, succeeding R.R. Singh, who retired in February 2025.
• Joshi is a 1989-batch officer with more than 30 years of experience in the general insurance sector.
• After Singh's retirement, Amit Misra served as acting CMD from March 1, 2025, until this appointment.
• The appointment was based on the recommendation of the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), responsible for top-level selections in financial institutions.
