NITI Aayog, which is the policy think tank for the government of India, recently came out with its report on the country's multi-dimensional poverty.

• The research shows that nearly 25 crore people in our country have managed to escape poverty in the last nine years.
• As per its discussion paper, as many as 24.82 crore people in India have moved out of multidimensional poverty in the last nine financial years, i.e., from 2013–14 to 2022–23. 
• Multidimensional poverty in India declined from 29.17% in 2013–14 to 11.28% in 2022–23, the think tank’s report mentioned.
