In the month of May 2022, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue stood at around Rs 1.41 lakh crore. This is a 44 percent increase in comparison to May 2021.

• The GST collection in May was lower than what was recorded in April 2022 which stood at Rs 1.68 lakh crore.
• The GST collections in March 2022 stood at Rs 1.42 lakh crore, while in February 2022 it was Rs 1.33 lakh crore.

In May 2022, the GST revenue collected was Rs 1,40,885 crore which is divided into:

• CGST: Rs 25,036 crore
• SGST: Rs 32,001 crore
• IGST: Rs 73,345 crore which includes Rs 37469 crore collected on import of goods
• Cess: Rs 10,502 crore which includes Rs 931 crore collected on import of goods.
