Nirdeshak Explanation: The second of the four Survey Vessels (Large) (SVL) 'Nirdeshak' (Yard 3026), was launched at Kattupalli, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The ship was built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) in collaboration with L&T Shipbuilding Limited for the Indian Navy. i. The contract for building four SVL ships was signed between the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata on 30 October 2018. The first of class ship 'Sandhayak' was launched on 05 December 2021 at GRSE, Kolkata.
