About Medaram Jatara
Medaram Jathara is the state festival of Telangana. It is held for four days. The festival is organised by Telangana’s second-largest tribal community called the Koya tribe.

Medaram Jathara festival is conducted in honour of Goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma.
When is the festival celebrated?
The Medaram Jathara festival is celebrated once in two years in February or Magha month, on the full moon day. Currently, it is celebrated biennially celebrated.
