Vidyut Mohan, a 17-year-old entrepreneur from New Delhi, is among five global winners of the inaugural ‘Earthshot Prize’ also known as the ‘Eco-Oscars’, which honors people trying to save the planet. Vidyut has been awarded in the Clean Our Air category for their technology, called ‘Takachar’, a small and portable device that uses crop residues to convert it into bio-products such as fuels and fertilizers to produce fumes. to reduce emissions and combat air pollution. The five winners will each receive £1 million for their project.
