Expenditure Secretary T V Somanathan Replaces Ajay Bhushan Pandey as Finance Secretary

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of T V Somanathan as the new Finance Secretary.
Somanathan, a 1987 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, was currently serving as the Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
He will replace Ajay Bhushan Pandey who superannuated in February 2021.
