French Novelist David Diop wins 2021 International Booker Prize

Veteran French novelist David Diop has won the prestigious International Booker Prize for the year 2021.
He has been chosen for his book translated into English as “At Night All Blood is Black” based on World War I.
The Paris-born writer is the first French novelist to win the prize.
The book has been translated into English by Anna Moschovakis.
The Prize carries a prize money of £50,000 ($70,850), which will be split equally among the author and the translator.
The International Booker Prize is an international literary prize awarded every year for a single book that is translated into English and published in the UK or Ireland.
