Explanation:

• Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) has developed the World’s Largest Solar Tree at Durgapur, West Bengal. The capacity of the installed Solar Tree is above 11.5 kilowatts peak (kWp).
• It has the annual capacity to generate 12,000-14,000 units of Clean and Green Power. 
• The Solar Tree is designed in a way that it will ensure maximum exposure of each Solar photo-voltaic (PV) Panel to Sunlight. It creates the least amount of shadow area beneath. 
• A total of 35 Solar PV Panels are there in each tree with a capacity of 330 wp each.
