Mastercard acquires Finicity to advance open banking strategy

Mastercard has announced to buy Finicity, a North American provider of real-time access to financial data and insights, for a purchase price of US$825 million.
Mastercard said the transaction would close by end of 2020, subject to regulatory reviews.
CEO and co-founder of Finicity is Steve Smith.
