Mylab launched machine to Automate the manual processes of Molecular Diagnostic Tests

Pune-based Mylab Discovery Solutions has launched 'Compact XL', a machine to automate the manual processes of molecular diagnostic tests including Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests for COVID-19.
The machine will be available for pre-ordering from 13 July 2020.
The machine is a compact bench-top machine that will automate lab processes from sample handling to preparing RT-PCR ready tubes.
The cartridge-based machine can run 32 samples at a time which can be further increased when machines are connected in a network.
Compact XL can be used for a wide range of RNA and DNA-based tests including COVID-19 RT-PCR tests.
The machine has been designed in a way that it can take input or samples of various types such as plasma, tissue, sputum, and swab.
The cost of Compact XL has not been announced yet.
Compact XL will ensure that DNA/RNA tests such as COVID-19 testing can be done without manual error, minimal supervision, and reduced human effort.
