Facebook joins hand with tech-giants, including Google and Microsoft for ‘Project Protect’ to fight online child sexual abuse

Facebook has joined hands with Microsoft, Google, Twitter and 14 other tech giants for a new initiative called ‘Project Protect’ to help combat child sexual abuse and exploitation online.
Facebook will lead this initiative.
These tech giants have been working together under Technology Coalition since past 14 years, since its formation way back in 2006.
Project Protect is a renewed commitment from the Technology Coalition for the next 15 years to protect kids online and guide its work.
Project Protect will focus on five key areas: tech innovation, collective action, independent research, information and knowledge sharing, and transparency and accountability.
