Explanation:

Socio-Economic Caste Census-2011 (SECC-2011) is a survey of socio economic particulars of rural and urban households comprising three components viz. Census in Rural Area has been conducted by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) Census in Urban areas under the administrative jurisdiction of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (MoHUPA) Caste Census under the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs, Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India This is done under the overall coordination of Ministry of Rural Development. SECC-2011 commenced on 29th June, 2011 through a comprehensive door to door enumeration across the country carried out by respective State Govt. / UT administraiton.
