Veteran Bengali author Debesh Roy, known for his famous novel ”Teesta Parer Brittanto” has passed away. He was 84
Roy was conferred with the Sahitya Akademi award for ‘Teesta Parer Brittanto’ (translating to ‘Chronicles of the Banks of the Teesta’) in 1990.
