IIT Bombay Develops low-cost mechanical ventilator "Ruhdaar"

A team of engineering students from IIT Bombay, NIT Srinagar and Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Awantipora, Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir have developed a low-cost ventilator named as ‘RUHDAAR’, using locally available materials.
As per the team, the prototype of the ventilator costed them around Rs. 10,000 and when produced in large quantity, the cost will be much lower.
Ruhdaar has the facility to provide necessary functionalities such as adequate breathing support to save the life of a critically ill COVID-19 patient.
