Bimal Julka appointed as CIC

President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed the Information Commissioner Bimal Julka as the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC).
He replaced Sudhir Bhargava retired on January 11.
The Central Information Commission has been constituted with effect from 12-10-2005 under the Right to Information Act, 2005.
