MEA creates "NEST" to increase investment coordination

The Ministry of External Affairs is to set up a new division 'NEST' (New and Emerging Strategic Technologies) to increase investment coordination among the states of the country and also with the foreign countries.
The NEST division will act as the nodal point in India’s foreign ministry for all matters connected to new and emerging technologies including exchange of views with foreign governments and coordination with domestic ministries and departments.
This will also helps to partner with 5G and artificial intelligence areas of other countries.
