Niranjan Hiranandani appointed as the new President of Assocham

Niranjan Hiranandani, Managing Director of Hiranandani Groups has been appointed as new President of Assocham (Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India).
He replaces Welspun Group Chairman Balkrishan Goenka.
Assocham has celebrated its centenary meet in New Delhi recently. PM Modi was the chief guest for the event and spoke about the economic challenges and the preparations to achieve the target of $5 trillion economy.
Assocham was Founded in 1921 to promote both domestic and international trade, and reduce trade barriers while fostering conducive environment for the growth of trade and industry of India.
