India successfully test-fired nuclear capable Missile K-4 in Visakhapatnam

India successfully test-fired the nuclear capable Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) K-4 at the Visakhapatnam coast in Andhra Pradesh. The range of K-4 ballistic missile is 3,500 Kilometer.
The missile was developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The test was carried out from an underwater platform in the sea.
India is the fourth country after the United States (US), Russia, China to launches SLBM of 3,500 kilometer range.
Apart from K-4, BO-5 is the other underwater missile with a strike range of 700 kilometers which is being developed by India.
