Rajasthan has launched higher education model titled-RACE.

State government of Rajasthan has launched a new higher education model titled- Resource Assistance for Colleges with Excellence or RACE, for distribution of faculties and movable assets among government colleges at district level so as to rationalise availability of resources.
RACE model will create a pool for sharing of facilities which will benefit colleges that lack infrastructure.Even though sanctioned posts of teachers in government colleges are 6,500, at present the posts falls short by about 2,000 teachers.
